GlobalMeet is a B2B-focused online video conferencing platform, designed to compete with Zoom and WebEx. While the platform offered robust functionality, its outdated interface made navigation cumbersome and negatively impacted user efficiency.
objective
The goal was to redesign GlobalMeet from the ground up, modernizing the UI and improving usability. By validating major UI decisions through user testing, I ensured the redesign directly addressed user pain points and improved overall task efficiency.
approach & methodology
• Conducted user research to identify friction points in the existing interface.
• Iterated on high-fidelity prototypes, refining interactions based on user feedback.
• Used A/B testing to objectively measure improvements in usability.
• Worked closely with cross-functional teams, collaborating with developers, product managers, and stakeholders.
tools used
Sketch, Abstract, Zeplin, InVision, Confluence, Trello, Notion, UserTesting
impact & results
By modernizing the UI and focusing on user validation, we improved task success rates from 61% to 94%—a direct indicator of better usability and efficiency.
“I like that it is more simplified, clean, not as boxy as GlobalMeet. It looks newer even though it has the same feature sets. More simplified. Very Apple-like.”
